The Public Library Changed My Life Campaign

Throughout Suffolk County, patrons are participating in the #LibraryChangedMyLife campaign, and you can too!

We are currently accepting submissions now through February 7th.

We are looking for patrons to submit a 60 seconds or less video of themselves discussing how the library has made a positive impact in their lives. Patrons can also choose to submit a photo with a quote rather than a video. Videos and photos can be done at the library with assistance from the librarians.

This content will then be posted to our library social media channels and may be shared on the official Public Library Changed My Life YouTube Channel. Everyone, including adults, teens, and children are encouraged to participate.

The purpose of this campaign is to showcase how libraries are pillars in their communities and the ways they better the lives of the patrons they serve. By sharing your stories in this countywide campaign, we are hoping to secure library funding throughout New York State.

We hope you will consider joining the campaign with us and look forward to your submissions.
