To ensure the safety of our young Library users, we ask that parents and caregivers adhere to the following guidelines:
- Children aged 12 years or younger must be accompanied by a parent or a parent-designated caregiver who is at least 16 years or older.
- Children aged 13 years or older may visit the Library unaccompanied, but they must be able to contact a parent or caregiver if the need arises.
- Parents or caregivers of unattended children aged 12 and under will be immediately notified and required to provide supervision, or pick up their child.
- If the Library staff judges that an unattended child, regardless of age, is not behaving appropriately, the parents or caregivers will be immediately notified and required to provide supervision of the child, or pick up the child.
- If Library staff cannot contact the parent or caregiver of an unattended child after approximately 15 minutes, the proper authorities will be notified.
