Assigned Counsel Defender Plan of Suffolk County is a not-for-profit organization providing legal representation to those pursuant to County Law Section 18-b. Pre-Petition Legal representation involves the provision of legal services to families when CPS (Child Protective Services) has contacted them but before a petition has been filed in Court.

The purpose of the Community Outreach is to educate and inform the community that CPS Investigation Representation exists and may be available to them if they need support, guidance and advocacy navigating through the CPS investigation process.
