A committed advocate for contemporary and Latin American music Ana María Rosado has
concertized throughout the United States, Latin America and the Far East.
Recent international performances include her participation as performer and lecturer in festivals
in Havana, Cuba. She has participated as performer and/or master class instructor in the New
School/ Mannes Guitar Seminar. She played a solo recital and conducted a workshop on Latin
Rhythms at the 1st International Gharana Music Festival in Nepal. AMR participated as
performer in festivals in Bogotá, Colombia. Earlier in her career, as an Artistic Ambassador for
the USIA, she toured México, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Perú, Bolivia and
Argentina. An extraordinary highlight of her life as a guitarist was to perform for the legendary
Spanish guitarist Andrés Segovia in his last set of masterclasses.
Ana María Rosado recently retired from her position as Associate Professor of Music and
Coordinator of Guitar at the New Jersey City University (1989-2020).
